RE: RECRUITMENT OF MEDICAL & DENTAL AND NURSING HEALTH PROFESSIONALS TO JAMAICA– 2026
The Ministry of Health wishes to inform the General Public that the portal for the recruitment of Medical & Dental and Nursing Health Professionals to Jamaica for the year 2026 is now open.
1. The application process commences on Monday, 1st June 2026, at 10:00 am
2. Prospective applicants are requested to apply through the international application form section and fill the form.
3. The deadline for submission of applications is Friday, 5th June 2026, at 5:00 pm

The Government of Jamaica, in partnership with the Government of Ghana, seeks to recruit qualified Medical and Nursing professionals interested in a challenging yet highly rewarding professional opportunity in Jamaica for the position of:
SPECIALIST NURSES
- Neonatology Nursing
- Oncology Nursing
- Critical Care Nursing
- Nephrology Nursing
- Emergency Nursing
- Peri-Operative Nursing
- Registered Nurse-Midwife
PHYSICIANS (FELLOWSHIP LEVEL)
- General Surgeons 2
- Internal medicine Specialists 2
NB: Only retired physician between the ages of 62 to 65 are eligible for this position.
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCES
(i) The Applicant should meet the regulatory requirements of the Medical & Dental and Nursing Professions Council.
(ii) Applicants from the Nursing category should have at least two (2) years Post Basic experience.
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Each applicant is required to provide the following:
1. Original/ Two (2) Photocopies of academic certificate,
2. Original/ Two (2) Photocopies of certificate of good standing with the Medical & Dental and Nursing & Midwifery Council,
3. Current and Previous appointment letters,
4. Original/ Two (2) Photocopies of certificate of criminal record from the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ghana Police Service covering the immediate past six(6) months,
5. Original/ Two (2) Photocopies of certificate of change of name, where applicable,
6. Original/ Two (2) Photocopies of the immunization certificate,
7. Original/ Two (2) Photocopies of the Birth Certificate,
8. Two (2) copies of an up-to-date curriculum vitae,
9. Two (2) reference letters dated within the last six (6) months,
10. An endorsed recent passport-size photograph with a white background,
11. Biodata page of passport with two (2) years validity,
12. Application Form,
13. Any other relevant document.
Candidates are required to submit all the necessary documents, including certified copies of qualifications and professional registration, on the day of the scheduled interview.
